Helping people to help themselves

In order to always provide you with the correct measurement results, all our measuring devices are equipped with error monitoring. If one of your measurements does not work as desired, you will receive an error message on the display of the measuring device.

The following table explains what the displayed abbreviations mean and provides assistance with troubleshooting.

Overview of error messages for our measuring devices

Error code Error description
RUN The display indicates proper function.
RN1 ADC overflow. The sensor is not covered with product, resulting in high measuring rates. (e.g. empty pipe).
RN2 The measured value has exceeded or fallen below one of the specified limit values of the attenuation signal and the current output is held or set to 0/4 mA or 20 mA.
RN3 The measured Bx value has exceeded the specified Bx limit value and the current output is set to 0/4 mA.
RN4 The measurement rates are unstable and are discarded. The last stable value is displayed.
RN5 The measurement rates are unstable and are discarded. The last stable value is displayed.
RN6 The measured value has fallen below the specified MIN limit value. The current measured value is discarded and the current output is held at the last value.
RN7 The measured value has exceeded the specified MAX limit value. The current measured value is discarded and the current output is held at the last value.
RN8 T3 is active. (If the relay is defined in the time function).
RN9 External STOP is active. (The contact is closed.)
RNA Loading < MIN loading.
RNB The measuring frequency used by the device is not stable, measured value fluctuations may occur.

RUN The display indicates proper function.
RN1 ADC overflow. The microwave reception level is too high. I.e. the antennas are too close together or there is no product between the antennas (empty band).
RN2
RN3

RN6
RN7 Pause, wait for next product with multiple measurement.
RN8 Measurement complete, product in the measuring section.

RN1 Free-fall sensor is filled with product.
RN2 The spectrum has exceeded the maximum value of 16384DLU. The current measured value is discarded and the current output is held at the last value.
RN3 The spectrum has exceeded the specified MAX limit value. The current measured value is discarded and the current output is held at the last value.
RN4 The measured value has fallen below the specified MIN limit value. The relay for the limit value function switches.
RN5 The measured value has exceeded the specified MAX limit value. The relay for the limit value function switches.
RN6 The spectrum has fallen below the specified MIN limit value. The current measured value is discarded and the current output is held at the last value.
RN7 There is not enough product on the belt. The measurement is stopped. The current measured value is discarded and the current output is held at the last value.
RN8 Empty the free-fall sensor with compressed air.
RN9 The measurement is stopped by an external start/stop signal (switch).
