1996

Harrer & Kassen GmbH is founded in Höfen an der Enz.

Development of own microwave devices with special frequency ranges up to 24 GHz, as well as application-specific sensors and antennas.

2005

Relocation to a new and larger company building in Langenbrand.

At the same time: Development of the first NIR in-line spectrometer HK4

2006

Awarded the Innovation Prize at the CIFA in France for the HK4 NIR in-line spectrometer with unique NIR technology.

2008

Development of the first colour spectrometer with LED illumination and automatic white balance HK7.

2009

Award for innovative company with the EUREKA mark.

2010

Development of the world's first NIR spectrometer with LED technology HK8.

2011

Expansion of the company through the acquisition of another company building.

2011/2012

A further expansion took place, with a new warehouse and a production hall.

2012

Development of the first microwave spectrometer.

2015

Development of our laboratory measuring device ‘particuLAB’ for measuring organic components in solid, pasty and powdery products.

2016

Development of our laboratory measuring device:
• HK11 for measuring an organic component.

Development of our laboratory measuring device:
• HK12 for the measurement of organic components in liquid products.

Development of our microwave resonator HK13

2024

Development of our VIS-NIR spectrometer HK5 for the simultaneous measurement of colour and an organic component. E.g. colour and fat of cream liqueur.
