Product description
The HK4 NIR spectrometer is a measuring device that uses near-infrared (NIR) technology to determine the ingredients of solids such as meat and liquids such as milk or oil, as well as in powders. Ideal for applications in the dairy and meat industry, it enables the simultaneous determination of up to four important ingredients in one measuring process.
Thanks to the modular design, the sensor and evaluation unit can be installed separately, allowing them to be used in places that are difficult to access, for example in pipes, tanks or machines such as cutters, mixers and mincers. This flexibility ensures easy handling and integration into existing production systems.
The NIR technology in the HK4 uses a diode array detector with thermoelectric cooling, which ensures an excellent signal-to-noise ratio, even under difficult production conditions. The measurement is carried out using specially developed halogen lamps that illuminate the product. The reflected or transmitted signal is transmitted to the spectrometer via fiber optic cable. This measures the spectrum at 256 points. This spectrum contains information about the chemical composition of the product so that each component can be optimally calculated.
The HK4 is easily calibrated using the Specter software supplied, which can be used to record calibration spectra and extend existing calibrations or create new ones.
